BBR Creative started as a dream among friends, and has since grown into a dream place of employment for a new class of advertising professionals in Acadiana. But every story has a beginning, and this one begins like many good tales in south Louisiana do: with friends, some good conversation and a few drinks.
Twenty years ago, Cathi Pavy, Cherie Hebert and Sara Ashy started BBR in the hope of creating a different kind of agency. As we close the book on the business’ birthday celebrations, BBR’s fearless leaders were honored with a cover story in July’s issue of FACE magazine. In the article, the partners give insights on what it was like to start an agency two decades ago in a predominantly male-dominated industry, and discuss their mission for cultivating the next generation of Acadiana’s creative talents.
