It’s that time of year again! This past weekend, the Acadiana and Baton Rouge chapters of the American Advertising Federation (AdFed) hosted their annual American Advertising Awards. The awards competition, formerly known as the ADDYs, is held at the local, regional and national levels and celebrates groundbreaking advertising work created nationwide. This year, BBR received a number of project-based awards and individual achievements for work produced throughout the year.
Lafayette ADDY Winners
The Acadiana awards show was hosted in downtown Lafayette at Warehouse 535. During the ceremony, BBR was awarded six gold, two silver and three individual honors. Among these, a Special Judges Award was given to Rêve’s Latte Art Throwdown poster made by Senior Art Director Burt Durand.
In addition to project awards, two BBRers were recognized for their outstanding work in the industry. Digital Marketing Director Daniel Kedinger was named Electronic Producer of the Year for his work in digital production and strategy, the driving force behind all of BBR’s web projects. To cap off the night, AdFed’s Silver Medal was given to Media Director Monica Hebert. This top honor recognizes AdFed members who’ve gone above and beyond in their daily duties to make a positive impact on the surrounding community.
Baton Rouge ADDY Winners
At the Baton Rouge ceremony, BBR’s work for Louisiana Economic Development raked in four gold awards and one silver. To round off a night of big wins, the “Louisiana Works for You” print ad campaign was recognized as Best in Show for print advertising. Sneak a peek at the award-winning pieces here:
