(Lafayette, La.) – Social Media Day Lafayette, presented by BBR Creative, is returning for a second year on Friday, June 30, 2017. This global celebration of communication and connection was founded by internet brand icon Mashable in 2010 and has spread to cities across the country.
Social Media Day Lafayette is a free, day-long event open to the public featuring seminars, working sessions and networking activities designed to help individuals and businesses improve their social media skills and knowledge in a fun and engaging environment. Social Media Day Lafayette (#SMDLFT) will take place at the LITE Center on June 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More than 30 local entrepreneurs and business professionals will be presenting on topics like creative messaging, content strategies, automation and brand building, with a special focus on social media for nonprofits.
Festivities kick off the night before with a social from 6-8 p.m. at the Lafayette Science Museum.
