(Lafayette, La.) – On Sept. 28, Frank’s International N.V. (NYSE: FI) hosted a picnic for employees and their families at the Zoo of Acadiana. As part of the event, employees brought nonperishable food items and canned goods to donate to FoodNet, the greater Acadiana food bank, which recently put out a call for assistance with supplies running low.
Approximately 500 people turned out for the event, which Frank’s held to celebrate its 75th anniversary and to thank employees for all their hard work. As a result of the attendees’ generosity, Frank’s collected nearly 500 pounds of food.
CEO Keith Mosing explained that “No matter how large Frank’s may grow—and we now have over 4,200 employees in 90 service locations in 60 countries—we will always be a family-oriented company. This is just one way of giving back to our community here in Lafayette.”
The donated food will help FoodNet restock its pantry and sustain its mission to feed the needy of Acadiana. Frank’s will continue to gather food donations at its Lafayette headquarters and at other company events throughout the year. To donate to FoodNet, call 337-232-FOOD or email [email protected].
