The Arc of Acadiana Begins Construction on New Iberia Resale Store

(Lafayette, La.) – The Arc of Acadiana, a nonprofit organization committed to the promotion and protection of the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, recently broke ground on a new resale store in New Iberia. The new store, located at 1825 Main St., will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Construction should be completed by December.

Arc of Acadiana CEO Kenny Patton says, “We are extremely excited to add this resale store to the New Iberia market. Our other stores have been very successful, and they allow us to provide meaningful employment to our clients in the area.”

Arc of Acadiana owns and operates retail and resale business operations around Louisiana including many resale stores, a gift shop and two nurseries. The operation of these businesses enables Arc to provide its clients with vocational training and employment that improve their lives and increase their self-confidence.

Members of the community are encouraged to donate items or shop at the resale store for clothing, books, baby items, housewares and more. Donations can be made at any time through the orange drop box located on site in the parking lot.

With this addition, Arc of Acadiana will have two New Iberia resale store locations:

1825 E Main St.
New Iberia, LA 70560

1504 Center St.
New Iberia, LA 70560
