(Lafayette, La.) — Recently employees of Dupré Logistics came together to create a brighter Christmas for a local family. A Dupré employee heard about David and Brandi Thorn, and their three boys, who were struggling to reestablish a home for themselves after moving here from Florida. Dupré Sales Manager Mark deClouet asked the family to create a list of items they were without, and provided that list to colleagues in the office.
On December 9, Mark and other Dupré employees arrived at the Thorn’s with 3 trailers full of household essentials and gifts for the family. They were able to give the Thorn family beds and mattresses, furniture, household goods, canned goods, and bikes for everyone–even a refurbished laptop computer. Home Furniture also provided a brand-new leather sofa and loveseat as well as a dining table and chairs.
“I’m so grateful to all the Dupré employees who gave so generously to such a great family,” said Mark deClouet. “It really is what the Christmas spirit is all about.”
