Last year, I posted a blog about Old Spice’s creative and quirky campaign that succeeded in dusting off a tired, old-man image and invigorating the brand for a whole new generation of young men interested in smelling good for the ladies. Just recently “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” launched new television spots that quickly went viral, garnering 3.4 million views in one week! The campaign is proving that if you find the sweet spot of what your target audience needs (or wants) to switch brands, you’ll be successful. Apparently, we’re not tired of Mustafa and his bare-chested proclamations…yet.
