Blast from the Past: Allison Dickerson, Lafayette Utilities System, Business and Marketing Analyst

When did you work at BBR and what did you do?
I worked closely with Cherie and our clients, making sure that their needs were met. I was a liaison between the client and the creative team.

I started working at BBR as an account assistant in 2000.  I was promoted to account manager the following year, and left when my first child was born in 2003. (more…)

Blast from the Past: Moon Chang, What is She Up to Now?

moon-and-family

When did you work at BBR and what did you do?
I actually thought I had professional Attention Deficit Disorder before I came to work at BBR. As soon as I walked into the building (back then BBR was located at 444 Jefferson St), my heart was thumping , unlike that of when I first fell in love with my husband. I knew little about the company, but the creative energy was literally humming through those candy-colored walls. I resolved secretly (I was there with my then-current boss for a meeting with Cherie) to do whatever it took to work with those people and their positive karma.

I never imagined that interning at BBR would be such a blast. This summer I had the privilege of spending three weeks with the team.  I was able to tour the vendors that BBR works hand-in-hand with — Vidox, KATC, Action Specialties, Tri-Star Graphics, TownSquare Media —  meeting great people and learning something special about each one of them.

Nickel Tour of BBR

Filed under: Around The Office,General,Our Life — Tags: , , , , , , — BBR Creative @ 8:30 am

Surprising the BBRers on video was quite an amusing operation! I’m fairly new here in the ad world having just graduated college, and making this clip with the team was a good time for me. It’s exciting that these bright and lively leaders and creative minds are my coworkers!

This is a regular day in the office of BBR Creative where hard work and planning, smiles and laughter, and some seriously creative scheming are all one office away.

BBR puts a little jingle in your pocket.

As BBR’s newest employee (and rookie blogger), I’m a little intimidated by this assignment, so I turn to my folks for advice.

“Write what you know,” advises Mom, always practical.

“What’s a ballog?” asks Dad, “Is that a Louisiana thing, like that boudin we ate?”

(He’s still reeling from the virtual delicatessen of assorted meats I bring home to my native Tennessee every few months.) No, Dad. This blog is not a meat product, but thanks anyway.

So, in the interest of practicality, I’m going with Mom’s advice and writing my inaugural blog (now that has an awfully nice ring to it…) about something I know: jingles.
