Status Report

Filed under: noted... — Mallory Joseph @ 2:54 pm

Client news:

The Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Department now has an official Facebook page! Check it out and become a fan. In little over a week, we’ve eclipsed all other Sun Belt Conference team Facebook fan counts. Let’s keep the momentum going. If you haven’t already done so, click here to become a fan.

We’ve just completed the production of our third campaign promoting season ticket sales for Ragin’ Cajuns athletics. The football television spot began airing a few weeks ago and it makes me wish tailgating started this Saturday! Look for your favorite player and check out Coach Bustle’s moves, too. The BBR team had a great time getting the Ragin’ Cajuns fired up for the 2009 season.

Field Trip: Blackbird Letterpress

Filed under: Creative Corner — Cathi Pavy @ 1:44 pm

Every so often, the BBR Creatives pile into my 4Runner for a good old-fashioned road trip. This past Friday, we set our sights eastward, venturing across the Atchafalaya to Baton Rouge where we paid a visit to Kathryn Hunter over at Blackbird Letterpress.

LaCHIP: An opportunity for working, uninsured families to get coverage for their children.

Filed under: News & Views — Cherie Hebert @ 10:56 am

Every now and then, we get the opportunity to use our communication skills to really make an impact on our world. In April, we began the work of creating and implementing a public awareness campaign to get uninsured children in the state of Louisiana covered — truly meaningful work.

An estimated 650,000 children remain uninsured in Louisiana. Of that figure, 41,000 live in households earning 200% below the federal poverty level. These children remain eligible, but are not yet registered in existing health care programs. Another large percentage is children of working parents who simply cannot afford health insurance. When health care is unavailable to the most vulnerable of our population, the health of our entire community is compromised. It affects their education and ultimately our economy.
